Victoria's creative journey inspired by BALI

Victoria von Stein, the designer artist set herself her own design initiative to travel to Bali to celebrate its legacy as a haven for culture, craft, design and art lovers in order to push the boundaries of her creative practice. Inspired by its natural stunning landscapes, colours, rich cultural heritage, tropical biodiversity and creative spirit she documented her journey through photographs, sketches and travel journals.
Through conversations and craft workshop exchanges with visitors, balinese people and master craftspeople committed to keeping heritage craft traditions alive she found new sources of inspiration. As a result it enriched her work by practising two mediums: her drawing skills and enrolling in a new course in London to learn jeweller's wax carving craft skills where she transformed her memorable experiences into:
1. Wearable talismanic, botanical sculptural fine jewellery
2. Empowering visual artworks for the home or public environment.
This unforgettable experience broadened her horizons even further.

She drew endless creativity from the sun, nature, architecture, cultural motifs and wisdom. She learned Batik and bamboo heritage artistry and skills with master craftspeople in Ubud.
