At The Bench - Wax Carving Process!

I've been working on creating new design elements using the old traditional technique called lost wax carving. A fascinating old technique also used in sculpture, it's a similar process.

After having carved out the desired shape, a mould of the wax is made. By applying heat, the wax melts and molten sterling silver or gold is poured in to make a solid version of the wax piece. Magic!
